Child prodigy of the former Soviet Union, Vladimir Soultanov is a Uzbek pianist born in 1960 in Tashkent. He gave his first recital at age 7. In 1970 Soviet television devotes a documentary about gifted children. Considered one of the great hopes of his country, he joined the prestigious Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory, where he became a pupil of the great master Léo Naoumov and gives many concerts in the halls of the Soviet Union. In 1984 he received the coveted degree of pianist with the congratulations of the jury. At the end of his studies, he was appointed soloist of the Orchestra Philarmonique of Tashkent.
In 1988, Vladimir Soultanov took advantage of Perestroika to flee his country and settle in France.
In addition to his duties as Professor at the Conservatory of Roubaix, he began an international career which led him to occur all over the world: in Russia, the Japan, Italy, Belgium and France, as well as in front of the Queen and the King of Spain.
He now participates in many juries of international competitions.
