Second edition of the International Piano Competition in the Hauts de France (from november 19th to november 23th, 2019)

It aims to promote young talent in early career, regardless of their nationalities. The contest "The stars of the Piano" is a springboard for these future professional pianists by giving them the opportunity to be judged by a jury of internationally renowned musicians. They will have the opportunity to perform in concert, to integrate a network of winners and for the best, to be awarded a prize.

The Hauts-de-France Region is very present in terms of classical music. It counts on its territory fifteen Conservatories with regional or departmental influence - including the Roubaix Conservatoire - and many Communal Conservatories. Remarkable equipments accommodate concerts and orchestras: for example, the Opera, the Nouveau Siècle, the Colisée in Roubaix and for orchestras, the Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing, the National Orchestra of Lille, the Orchestra of Picardie, the Concert d'Astrée, the Orchestra of Douai. Many harmonies also make it possible to make the territory live.

The musical scene of Roubaix is particularly active. The Conservatoire trains many musicians and the city hosts concerts throughout the year, in exceptional heritage places: the Museum La Piscine , the Hôtel de Ville, the Condition Publique,, the Conservatoire ...
